Scooby’s sire Country Top Gun is a Grade B Show Jumper and Elite Graded Stallion
Scooby is Paul’s event horse, and started the 2008 season well by
being placed 3rd at Borde Hill and 6th at Eridge. He unfortunately damaged
his suspensory ligament very badly at Eridge, and having spent 3 months
on box rest (during which he was very well behaved despite being very fit
at the time!), he has now been scanned again and the injury looks to be
healing much better than expected. He is now starting his walking work again
and having restricted turn out, and will continue to progress back to fitness
over the winter.
Scooby is a very sweet natured horse. He is very brave and bold cross-country, which is his favourite part of eventing. He would love to spend all his time galloping and jumping, and finds everything else very boring! He was entire until he was 3 years old, so sometimes likes to think he is still a stallion!
