Poppy is sired by the legendary dressage stallion Sandro Hit. Sandro Hit (www.schockemoehle.com/englisch/s333938.html) was World Young Horse Champion and is one of the most influential sires in modern dressage breeding. As well as producing huge numbers of licensed and Champion stallions and Champion mares, he also produces the top priced horses and foals at virtually all auctions around Europe.

In November 2007 Poppy was awarded the Oldenburg Verband Foal Premium grading, and the German Judges remarked particularly on her exceptional movement, stating that she took after her sire in this respect and that it was almost perfection in what they look for in the movement of a dressage horse, which we were obviously delighted by!

Poppy also takes after her sire in her temperament, as she is very bright and intelligent, but is also very lively and opinionated!! She is already telling the other foals and mares off, and even dares to try and take on Tiara occasionally! Poppy is very playful and exuberant, and is often seen rearing, bucking and galloping around the field. We are hoping she will make a fantastic competition horse and broodmare in the future.

Poppy has grown very tall over the summer 2008, and she will soon be starting her in hand work to prepare her for the Youngstock Championships next summer.
