Monik was imported from Germany as a 4 year old.

Monik's sire is the International Grand Prix and Main Premium Champion stallion De Niro (www.klosterhof-medingen.de), sire of numerous Champion and Grand Prix stallions and Champion mares.

Monik has had 3 foals, the first of which she had in Germany before she was imported. Her second foal is Fuerst Larkshill ('Tango'), a chestnut colt owned by Larkshill Stud (www.larkshillstud.com), sired by the recently deceased Fuerst Heinrich. Tango was awarded the Oldenburg Verband Foal Premium grading as a foal. In November 2007 Tango was inspected again by the Oldenburg Verband and confirmed to be exceptional enough to go forward to the Oldenburg Verband Stallion Grading in Germany in 2008. Monik's third foal is Poppy (see Poppy's page for her details).

Monik has never been backed, but is a fantastic broodmare, both in terms of foaling easily and looking after her foals, as well as producing exceptionally high quality youngstock.

Monik is in foal to Sir Donnerhall (www.schockemoehle.com/englisch/s333936.html), and is due to give birth around the end of April 2009. Sir Donnerhall is sired by Sandro Hit, out of a State Premium mare by Donnerhall. Sir Donnerhall is German Young Horse National Champion and Reserve World Young Horse Champion. He is a very young stallion but even out of his first crop of foals he has produced seven licenced stallions, including the Oldenburg Reserve Licencing Champion, so we are hoping for a very nice foal!
