Livery

Holt Farm very occasionally has livery vacancies. Please note we are an adult only yard, and do not provide DIY.

We have a unique system of livery which we believe works very well for owners. Each owner rents a stable, including turnout, storage, horsebox/trailer parking and use of all facilities for a fixed price each month (currently £160 per calender month).

In addition to this, we then provide livery on a daily basis, which can range from 4 days a week to 7 days a week. The daily livery is a fixed price per day (currently £6 per day) and includes turnout and rug change, muck out, provision of hay, two feeds and water, bring in and rug change.

The livery is designed to be flexible so that although owners will be on a normal routine of livery, this can be increased or decreased for holidays, illness etc as required, and extra requirements such as additional turn out, bring in etc can be provided.

Owners are responsible for buying their feed, hay, bedding, wormers, supplements etc, and for all other costs associated with their horse such as farrier, dentist and vet. Owners can buy these items from wherever they choose, or can have them delivered with our monthly delivery from our local feed merchants.

In addition to livery, owners can also have their horses lunged, schooled, hacked, clipped etc for an additional charge, and this can either be on a routine or one-off basis.

We currently do not charge for the use of floodlights in the school, or a handling fee for dealing with the farrier, dentist & vet attending your horse.
